PUBLICLY CHILD CARE SERVICES

The Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) provides Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) to help eligible parents and guardians to help them with child care costs while they engage in work, educations, or  job training. Families can be eligible to have all or part of their monthly child care expense paid on their behalf. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?


  • Parents or guardians who are employed, in school, or job training
  • Parents or Guardians receiving Ohio Works First cash assistance
  • Homeless
  • Required by a children's services case plan to have protective child care for children living in the home

AND

  • Your gross monthly income is at or below 145% of the federal poverty level

OR

  • Your family needs care for a child with a county-agency-verified special need, and your income is at or below 150% of the federal poverty level


CHILD CARE CHOICE SERVICES

A program to support families with paying for early care and education services, who are over income for the State's Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) and whose gross monthly income is at of below 146%-200% of the federal poverty level.
