United Way of Clinton County brings people and resources together to make positive and lasting changes for our community, “Our Community Helping Itself”
In 2000, the United Way funded Prescription Assistance Program to address the growing problem of the inability of low-income people to afford prescription medications. This program is national in scope and affects many citizens with no prescription drug benefits who are under or uninsured.
The primary focus is to assist people with acute medications needed for potentially serious medical conditions such as: antibiotics, respiratory inhalers, short acting nitroglycerin and etc.
Program will not fund: contraceptives, weight loss and controlled pain medications or any form of narcotics.
Prescription limit is $75.00
Individual limit $300.00 per year
