Clinton County Drive to Succeed Scholarship Information
“Drive to Succeed” is a State of Ohio grant funded program to help teens under the age of 18 to complete driver training at no cost! In Clinton County, eligible students will be determined by age, financial need, a recommendation letter, and essay submission. Scholarship recipients will be required to provide 2 hours of service to their high school. These eligibility criteria will be reviewed by a panel of Clinton County education officials, law enforcement officials and private citizens. Driver's education scholarships will be for in-person classwork and in-car training through select area driving schools (including D&D and The Driving Authority, ). There will be no scholarships for on-line driver's training. Scholarships will be available as long as grant funding lasts.

Before you begin the application process, you should have the following documents ready to upload to the SurveyMonkey site.
- Written statement of financial need be determined by school officials, coaches, law enforcement, Job and Family Services, Juvenile Probation, etc., on their official organization letterhead OR a written statement of financial need by your parent/guardian.
- One recommendation letter is required from a school official, coach, school resource officer, etc on their official organization letterhead. Except for a parent/guardian statement, this letter may be the same used in item #1. (Just upload twice in the survey.)
- A written essay explaining why this Driver’s Education Scholarship is important to you. This essay should also include how you will complete 2 hours of service to your high school.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
Scholarships will be available as long as grant funding lasts.
You will receive notification from the Clinton County Health District regarding your successful application.
