Do I need a Zoning Permit?
- If you are building any structure on your property or adding on to any existing structure you need a zoning permit.
- You must have a Zoning Permit before you can get a building permit in all zoned townships, they can be applied for at the same time.
Do I need Zoning Approval?
- If you intend to use your property for a use other than the current use, you need to have approval from the Zoning Department.
What is needed on a Plot Plan?
- A drawing of your property indicating the following:
- Name and address of property
- Lot dimensions
- Structure dimensions
- Location of structure and distance from property lines
- Driveway, septic and well locations
- Any body of water
- Any easement

When do I need a Building Permit?
- If you are doing any of the following you need a building permit:
- Any new structure
- Any addition or structural changes
- Deck
- Electric installations
- Fireplace or wood stove
- Pool
- Remodels
- Signs

How do I submit plans?
- Upload a PDF to your online permit or bring to the office to be scanned
