Earth Day Poster Contest 2022
The Clinton County Solid Waste Management District is pleased to announce that the Annual Earth Day Poster Contest had its best year ever in 2022!
K-5 educators across the county were invited to participate in December to ensure they had plenty of time to incorporate environmental stewardship lessons into their educational plans as well as the time necessary for their students to work on their Earth Day/recycling themed posters. And work on their posters they did! SWMD received 155 Earth Day posters from students across the County. This is the most entries SWMD has ever received in any given year.
Educators were asked to select one poster per individual homeroom to submit for display in the Clinton County Courthouse. It is from these entries that the Clinton County Commissioners had the unenviable task of selecting posters from this pool of entries for inclusion in the SWMD’s Annual Educator’s Calendar, which will be distributed to every classroom in the county.
The posters selected for inclusion into the 2022/23 Earth Day Poster Contest Calendar are as follows:
