CCHD will provide COVID and Flu vaccination opportunities for those children ages 5- 11 years old and their families at all Clinton County School Districts as follows:
Additional 5-11 year old COVID vaccination opportunities will be forthcoming. A parent/guardian MUST be present at the vaccination of minors under the age of 18 years. Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine currently approved for those children aged 5+ years. Pfizer is a 2-dose series. Parents/guardians may pre-register for a vaccination time slot at this link: https://bookclintonvax.timetap.com/#/.
“We are excited to provide these vaccination opportunities for our children and families to help prevent severe health outcomes, including death, as we continue to navigate this pandemic”, said Terry Holten, MD, Clinton County Health District Medical Director, “Children starting their vaccination series now will help provide us all with safer, and happier holidays, this year.”
“Drive Thru” Style Clinic: Today, November 3rd, from 1-4pm, will be the CCHD’s last planned “Drive Thru” style clinic this year as the weather turns colder. Location is 1850 Davids Drive in the parking lot of the former campus of Southern State Community College across from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required at: https://bookclintonvax.timetap.com/#/.
This CCHD clinic is supported by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management Agency, and Engineer’s Office along with Southern State Community College and community volunteers. Seasonal flu shots are also available and can be given at the same time as any COVID vaccine. Please bring your medical card to your appointment.
Other Adult Clinics Next Week: For the week of November 8th, CCHD and our community volunteers will provide “Walk-In” COVID & Flu adult vaccinations in the Community Room of the Clinton County Annex Building from 1-4pm on Monday, 11/8, Tuesday, 11/9 and Wednesday, 11/10.
The CCHD will be closed next week on Thursday, 11/11 and Friday, 11/12 for Veteran’s Day and Clinton County’s Juneteenth Observed holiday.
