COUNTY ZONING PROCESS
County Commissioners continue work on county zoning processes
Wilmington— September 30, 2026
The Clinton County Board of Commissioners recognize that zoning is an important issue for property owners, residents and businesses.
The Board is reviewing procedures and recommendations in order to update the zoning plan to ensure a clear and transparent process that takes into consideration the needs and concerns of the community as well as incorporating appropriate review for management of new zoning needs to ensure appropriate and controlled growth.
At this stage, no final zoning plan or regulations have been adopted. The Commissioners are working with county staff and the appropriate planning and zoning entities to review the process, identify areas that may require additional consideration, and determine the appropriate next steps.
As the process moves forward, there will be opportunities for public participation and input. Any required public hearings and notices will be conducted in accordance with Ohio law.
