PURPOSE-The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students to enter the field of natural resource conservation and to prepare them for such a career through an organized program of study in a college or university.
QUALIFICATIONS-Applications will be accepted from students meeting the following criteria:
Some qualifying fields of study are:
Agronomy Resource Management
Forestry Agricultural Engineering
Land Use Planning Civil Engineering
Soil Science Geology
Agricultural Education Animal Science
Other fields of study will be considered, subject to the approval by the Board of Supervisors. The Clinton SWCD reserves the right to not award a scholarship.
CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP-The scholarship award is for $500.00 and will be processed in conjunction with the College Financial Aid Office.
The scholarship recipient will be invited to the Clinton SWCD Annual Meeting & Banquet, the banquet will be held sometime in the fall.
The scholarship is offered on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or marital status or handicap.

Letters of recommendation from 3 references listed on the application form are to be sent directly to the Clinton SWCD office. Deadline for receiving applications and letters of recommendation is March 30, 2020.
