Kerry R. Steed
A lifelong resident of Clinton County, Kerry R. Steed is the husband to Valerie and the proud father of two precocious children, Abbey and Andy.
Steed grew up on a small, family farm, with his two sisters, near Martinsville, Ohio. He graduated from Wilmington High School in 1988 and went on to study in Wright State Universities’ Engineering program. Steed returned to Wilmington in 1993 after purchasing the business from his mother, Gayle Steed.
Steed’s professional role in the community is not limited to President and CEO of Generations Pizzeria, a local landmark in the community since 1962. He has served as president of many boards and committees and has been an advocate for a multitude of organizations ranging from Rotary to Leadership Clinton.
After securing a win in the primary election of 2012 Steed was sworn in as Clinton County Commissioner serving honorably since March 2012. Other than having the unconditional love and support of his family he views his public service as his greatest achievement.
Brenda K. Woods
Brenda K. Woods was elected as a member of the Clinton County Board of Commissioners in 2016, taking her seat on January 2, 2017.
Her past experience includes 24 years as the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners and Assistant County Administrator. She has also served as the Wayne Township Fiscal Officer for 16 years and the Executive Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Wilmington for 4 years.
Through her experience in county, township and municipal government, she brings with her an extensive knowledge of budgeting experience, working with Elected Officials and Department Heads and serving the needs of the citizens of Clinton County.
Brenda and her husband Larry have been married for 28 years and have both resided in Clinton County all of their lives. Brenda and Larry have three children Grant (26) Garrett (22) and Gabrielle (17).
She plans to utilize her knowledge in moving Clinton County in a continued positive direction and looks forward to serving the many citizens of Clinton County in the years to come.
Mike McCarty
Mike McCarty is the newest elected member to the Clinton County Board of Commissioners, taking his seat on January 1, 2019.
McCarty has been very involved in Clinton County as a successful small business owner for over two decades and has been involved in many local organizations including: Wilmington/Clinton County Chamber Board, Clinton County Foundation Board, Clinton-Massie Local School Board, Clinton/Fayette Business Advisory Council, and Leadership Clinton.
Additionally, Mr. McCarty was a proud member of the 178th Fighter Wing, Ohio Air National Guard and retired after 20 years of service. During his tenure as a business owner and member of the Ohio Air National Guard he earned his Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management.
McCarty lives in Clarksville, Ohio with his lovely wife Pandy and his two children Mia and Will.
