Ohio Military Injury Relief Fund

Ohio MIRF (Military Injury Relief Fund) managed and sponsored by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is for injured veterans of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom) Annual application period begins July 1st and ends June 30th each year.

The MIRF provides grants to service members injured in the line of duty, which includes PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), while serving under OIF or OEF.

To keep the MIRF grant program solvent and ensure future veterans have this support, Ohio has amended MIRF rules to a one-time $500 award.

The returning veteran may apply for the grant between July 1st – June 30th. MIRF is exempt from Federal and State Taxation.

Application forms are obtainable from your local Ohio Department of Job and Family Services or from your local County Veterans Services Commission Office.
