Mediation Attorney

William H. Kaufman, Bill, is a lifelong resident of Lebanon.  He graduated from Miami University in 1965, served in the United States Navy, and then enrolled in law school.  After graduating from Salmon P. Chase law school, he joined Young & Jones in 1971 and became a partner in 1976.   He and his wife, Mary, another lifelong Lebanon resident, married in 1967.

During his practice, he has served in several public offices; part-time prosecutor/solicitor for the City of Lebanon in the mid 1970s; City Council for the City of Lebanon; Mayor, City of Lebanon, and Judge, Lebanon Municipal Court from 1986 to 1995.  He has served as a director on the Board of Lebanon Citizens National Bank since 1982.

During his career, he has served on various bar associations, including American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association (he serves on the Council of Delegates was elected to and serves on the Board of Governors), Cincinnati Bar Association, Warren County Bar Association (past President) as well as being a  fellow of The American Board of Trial Advocates ( past President of the Cincinnati Chapter)  and American College of Trial Lawyers. He serves as past Chair and present member of the Warren County Bar Assn. Certified Grievance Committee, and was named “Distinguished Member of the Bar” by the Warren County Bar Association in 2011.

In 2014 the Court hired Mr. Kaufman on a part time basis to mediate civil matters referred to him by the presiding judge.
