Chief Bailiff Michael Sutton

Bailiff Sutton began his career in law enforcement as a military police officer in the United States Army.  While stationed in Hawaii (1974-1976), attended the University of Hawaii majoring in Police Science.  After discharge from the Army, he completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy and joined the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.  He served under three Sheriff's (Dallas Kratzer Sr., Patrick Haley, Ralph Fizer Sr.).  Mike served as a Deputy Sheriff from 1976-1995 as a full-time officer, and from 1995-2003 as a part-time officer. During his full-time service, he assended the ranks from Road Deputy to Captain. 

In April 1995 Mike was appoined by Judge Rudduck as the Chief Probation Officer for the Clinton County Municipal Court.  In 2001, after Judge Rudduck's election to the Clinton County Common Pleas Court, Mike was appointed as the Chief Probation Officer for the Clinton County Common Pleas Court.  In April 2007 Mike left the probation department to become the Chief Bailiff for Judge Rudduck.
