The "Rights of Persons with Developmental Disabilities" include, but are not limited to: |

The right to be treated at all times with courtesy and respect and with full recognition of their dignity and individuality; |

The right to an appropriate, safe, and sanitary living environment that complies with local, state, and federal standards and recognizes the persons' need for privacy and independence; |

3. |
The right to food adequate to meet accepted standards of nutrition; |

|
|
|
|||||||||||
|
4. |
The right to practice the religion of their choice or to abstain from the practice of religion; |

The right to timely access to appropriate medical or dental treatment; |

Waiting Lists |
||||||||||||
|
We are committed to providing necessary and approved services to eligible individuals in a timely and effective manner. Services are available based on the Board's established priorities and comply with all rules applicable to service delivery and waiting list administration. When available resources are not sufficient to meet requests, a waiting list will be established. Currently, Residential Alternatives (waiver-funded or supported living services) are the only services within Clinton County for which a waiting list exists. |

Confidentiality |

|
We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of information and records regarding consumers, families and staff. This includes all forms and formats in which information is maintained and stored, such as hard copy, photocopy, microfilm and electronic data. Identifiable information is not disclosed, other than to contract agents of the Board and to local, state and federal authorities, without the knowledge and written consent of the person or legal guardian. Non-discrimination |

|
Any individual, agency or service provider who enters into contract with Clinton County Board of DD must act in a non-discriminatory manner both as an employer and as a service provider. Further, they shall act without regard to the race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, disability or any other unlawful basis. |

Complaint Resolution |
||||||||||||
|
Complaints involving programs, services, policies or administrative practices of the Board or entities under contract with the Board are handled in compliance with section 5123:2-1-12 of the Ohio Administrative Code. This process ensures the protection of the rights of individuals currently enrolled in or eligible for enrollment in Board-operated programs. Eligibility determination, arranging appropriate services and any denial, resolution or termination of services are covered by the complaint resolution process. The Board will assist individuals with the administrative resolution of complaints or any other applicable appeal procedures promulgated by the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Department of DD, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services or Ohio Department of Health.
